About

We Stopped Fitting Grips By Hand Size Alone

Wrist Hinge Fit started because a hand-size grip chart and a generic shaft flex label kept explaining less and less about why two golfers with similar swings needed completely different equipment.

Our Story

Built Around a Question Nobody Was Measuring

Wrist Hinge Fit opened in Chandler in 2016, after years of watching grip and shaft recommendations get made from hand size, swing speed, and feel — while the one variable that actually governs how a club loads and releases, the wrist hinge itself, went unmeasured entirely. We built a three-point sensor rig specifically to close that gap: one sensor on the glove, one on the shaft, one at the grip, logging hinge angle continuously through the swing.

Nine years later we've logged hinge profiles on more than nine thousand fitting sessions, from first-time clients trying to fix a driver slice to competitive amateurs chasing tighter dispersion under tournament pressure.

What We Believe

Three Rules We Don't Bend On

Measure the Hinge, Not the Hand

Hand size is a starting point, never the answer. The final grip taper is chosen from how your hinge actually forms on the sensor rig.

No House Grip or Shaft Line

We stock every major grip and shaft manufacturer so nothing steers a recommendation except your own session data.

Write It Down, Every Time

Every session ends with a build ticket you keep — grip model, taper, shaft weight, swing weight target — whether you order that day or six months later.
