Wedge Fitting

Wedges rarely need a full hinge the way a driver does — most short-game shots ask for partial, controlled hinge instead. We fit specifically for that control, then layer bounce and grind on top.

Partial-Hinge Control

Why Chunked and Thin Chips Usually Trace Back Here

A full-hinge swing on a 30-yard pitch is one of the most common sources of chunked or thin contact we see. The wrists set and release almost the same way as a full swing, but the shorter swing length leaves no room to correct timing on the way down.

We measure how much hinge you're forming on partial-length swings specifically, then match grip texture, shaft weight, and swing weight to make an intentionally reduced hinge easier to repeat under pressure.

What We Adjust for Wedge Fittings

Bounce & Grind

Selected against your typical turf conditions and the attack angle your hinge behavior actually produces, not a generic loft chart.

Grip Texture

A firmer, more textured grip gives clearer feedback on partial-hinge control, which matters more here than on a full driver swing.

Loft Gapping

We check loft spacing between wedges alongside hinge control, since both determine how reliably you can hit a specific yardage on demand.

Get More Predictable Around the Greens

Sessions run 45–60 minutes and include full-swing and partial-swing hinge testing across your current wedge lineup.
